The senior boys team, coached by Michael Woo, is leading an experimental fundraiser project performing yard clean-up services. Winter Clean-up is an idea for a new SCAA fundraiser program that allows youth to give back to the community by providing practical services to the local neighborhoods. The basis for this fundraiser will be to teach planning, team-building and communication skills, in addition to good old-fashion hardworking skills.
Saturday and Sunday, January 19th and 20th
Central and Northwestern Neighborhoods of Beacon Hill
9am – 5pm (both days)
We are looking for players, coaches, parents or any volunteers to participate in any way they can.
Ways you can participate:
- laborers to perform the services (players)
- supervision (coaches/parents)
- supply tools such as brooms, rakes, shovels, gloves etc.
- transportation (vans would be great)
This will be a great alternative to finding $200 in sponsorship money if you've had trouble doing it in the past. Every team that contributes will get credit for the amount they've raised. We will be providing yard work services such as raking leaves, sweeping sidewalks, clearing drains, etc. for specific fees. 100% of the proceeds will go back to SCAA.
Call Kevin Wong (Fundraiser Manager) at (206) 963-7782 or email him at kevinwong11@gmail.com to sign-up and help.
