Education Night

SCAA Education Night is a chance for the organization to educate players, parents, and coaches and discuss the day-to-day issues they face. Individual speakers talk to each grade (5th - 12th), parents, and coaches in addition to a keynote address. Parents appreciate the topics and the opportunity their kids have to talk about issues that they deal with in school. Coaches benefit from Education Night by being recognized and acknowledged by parents and kids and also get a chance to meet other SCAA coaches.

Below is a list of topics for Education Night:
5th Grade: What to expect in Middle School
6th Grade: Emotions and communication skills
7th Grade: Peer pressure
8th Grade: What to expect in High School
9th Grade: Healthy relationships
10th Grade: Resume and interview techniques
11th Grade: Varies based on speaker expertise and issues
12th Grade: How to budget, rent, insurance, groceries, etc.
Parents: Curriculum prep for Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College, Judge and juvenile system, adolescent development stages
Coaches: How to deal with adolescents, coaching tips, preventative safety, etc.
